Selection
Use this fitting only where the two pipe ends are the stated Irish normal- and heavy-gauge standards. It is not an equal coupler, even though both nominal sizes are ½ in.
Installation
Depressurise and drain the line. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs and dirt, keep the seal clean and insert the pipe fully before tightening. Pressure-test the completed joint before service.
