Imperial PVC-U fittings are sized in inches and are intended for compatible imperial PVC pipework. Imperial and metric PVC are not automatically interchangeable; use a suitable transition fitting where systems meet.

This imperial PVC reducing bush adapts a plain solvent-weld connection to a female threaded connection while reducing the connection size. It is used where imperial PVC pipework needs to connect to a compatible male-threaded component.

Use and installation

• Plain end for solvent-weld connection to compatible imperial PVC.
• Female threaded end for a compatible male-threaded component.
• Use an appropriate thread seal for the threaded joint; do not solvent-weld the thread.
