What this valve box is for

Use this Rain Bird 7-inch round valve box to create an accessible below-ground enclosure for a small irrigation valve, cable joint or other serviceable irrigation connection. Bury the black box body and leave the green lid at finished ground level, so the component is protected from soil and surface activity but can still be reached for inspection and maintenance.

When to choose the 7-inch round box

Choose this compact round format where the installed component fits comfortably inside and only modest access is needed. Measure the valve assembly, pipework and cable entries first; step up to a larger Rain Bird valve box where more working room is required.

Installation and access

Set the box level with the final ground surface and use its moulded openings for pipework and control cable as required. Keep the lid clear of soil, mulch and turf, and allow enough clearance around the installation to remove the lid and service the components later.
