Rain Bird Decoder LDI

The Rain Bird LDI is a large decoder interface for linking a compatible SiteControl central-control computer with field decoders over a two-wire path. It provides two-way communication for large golf and landscape irrigation systems.

Capacity and use

• Up to 500 decoder addresses
• Up to 1,000 connected solenoids, subject to the system design and simultaneous-load limits
• Compatible with Rain Bird field-decoder systems and SiteControl installations
• Provides communication from the central computer to the field and feedback from field decoders

Installation

The interface, two-wire paths, field decoders, surge protection and earthing must be designed and installed to Rain Bird requirements. Decoder capacity is not the same as the number of solenoids that can run simultaneously.

Selection note: this is the larger LDI interface, not the smaller SDI. Confirm the required regional power supply, communications interface and current SiteControl compatibility before ordering.
