Rain Bird Standard Valve Box

What this valve box is for

Use this Rain Bird Standard valve box as an accessible underground enclosure for irrigation valves, valve manifolds, cable joints and other serviceable components. The black box body is buried while the green locking lid stays at finished ground level, giving protection from soil and everyday surface activity without hiding the installation from maintenance access.

When to choose the Standard box

Choose the Standard rectangular format when a round valve box does not provide enough room for the valve arrangement or the access you need. Measure the complete assembly, including pipework and cable entries, before choosing between Standard, Jumbo and Maxi Jumbo sizes.

Installation and access

Set the box level with the final surface, use the appropriate openings for pipework and control cable, and keep the lid clear of backfill, mulch and turf. Plan enough room inside and around the box for future inspection, valve adjustment and replacement work. The locking lid helps secure the enclosure.
