Toro DEC-SG-LINE surge protector
A line surge-protection device for compatible Toro two-wire decoder irrigation systems. It provides a route for transient energy from the communication cable to a correctly designed earth-ground system.
Installation guidance
- Part number: DEC-SG-LINE
- Install on the decoder communication path at the positions specified in the relevant Toro system design
- Connect the green conductor to the approved grounding assembly
- Toro's Lynx Smart Module guidance calls for grounding resistance of 10 ohms or less
- That guidance places surge devices at intervals no greater than 305 m and each module within 152 m of a device
Surge protection depends on correct layout, bonding and grounding and cannot guarantee protection from every lightning event. Have the system designed and tested by a suitably competent installer.
