Start with the pipe system

Identify whether the installation uses metric or imperial PVC before choosing pipe and fittings. Match the material, connection dimensions and pressure rating to the system.

Choose parts for the job

New pipe runs and plant-room alterations

Build the run from the chosen pipe system: pipe lengths, elbows, tees, sockets and any required reducers. Include suitable isolation and service access where the equipment specification calls for it. Select jointing products approved for the pipe material and pressure application.

Equipment connections and service access

Check the connections on the equipment before selecting unions or threaded adaptors. Confirm the tube or pipe size, thread standard, seal arrangement and space available for servicing.

Repairs and replacement fittings

Match the existing pipe dimensions and connection type before ordering a replacement. A photo of the joint, any markings and a measured pipe outside diameter help identify the part.

Prepare a complete pipework list

  1. Identify metric or imperial pipe, its material, size and required rating.
  2. List pipe lengths and quantities, then elbows, tees, sockets and reducers.
  3. Record the exact equipment connections and required unions or adaptors.
  4. Include compatible seals, supports and approved jointing materials.
  5. Check access for servicing and confirm any isolation or bypass arrangement against the equipment instructions.

Save exact products and quantities to a List as you plan. For a project or volume requirement, include the equipment details and pipework layout when requesting help.
