Start with the tubing

Choose the outside diameter first. Blue PU tubing is available in 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm; clear PU tubing is available in 8 and 10 mm. Select tubing by the metre or choose a 10 m coil on the product page.

• 4 mm blue tubing — 4 × 2.5 mm
• 6 mm blue tubing — 6 × 4 mm
• 8 mm blue tubing — 8 × 5 mm
• 10 mm blue tubing — 10 × 6.5 mm
• 8 mm clear tubing — 8 × 5 mm
• 10 mm clear tubing — 10 × 6.5 mm

Choose what the fitting needs to do

Metric straight connectors, elbows, equal tees and Y splitters offer 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm options. Match the fitting to the tube outside diameter. The tubing range above currently runs up to 10 mm.

• Join two tube ends — straight connectors

Fittings are sold individually unless the product listing states otherwise. These are push-fit tube connectors: choose the connection type shown on the product, rather than assuming it is a compression fitting.

Imperial tube and compressor connections

Working with inch-sized tube? Browse imperial straight unions, elbows, tees, Y splitters and end caps. Available sizes vary by fitting.

For threaded connections, view imperial tube-to-NPT male adaptors. For compressor connections, view BSP quick-release sockets and coupling plugs; check the coupling profile as well as the thread.

Window-cleaning vans and portable cleaning equipment

Matching a small tube or connector on a van-mounted or portable window-cleaning system? Start with the existing tube dimensions and equipment specification. Send us the outside diameter, any tube markings, the fitting or thread details and a clear photo of the connection.

For water-fed equipment, confirm suitability for the water, cleaning chemicals, pressure and temperature before choosing a pneumatic component. Ask us to help identify the connection.

Three checks before ordering

1. Tube size: outside diameter and inside diameter describe different dimensions. For example, 6 × 4 mm tubing has a 6 mm outside diameter.
2. Size system: metric and imperial tube are separate sizes; ¼-inch tube is 6.35 mm, not 6 mm.
3. Connection: identify a tube socket, hose tail or thread. For threaded equipment, check both the standard and size. Read the thread buying guide.
