Carson Brooks 254 mm (10-inch) Round Valve Box

The Carson Brooks 910 round valve box creates a protected, accessible chamber around irrigation valves, meters, decoders, fittings and cable joints installed below ground.

Size and construction

• Model: Carson Specification Grade 910
• Nominal size: 254 mm (10-inch) round; nominal depth 254 mm (10-inch)
• Manufacturer drawing: approximately 235 mm clear top opening, 298 mm outside at the top and 394 mm across the flared base
• High-density polyethylene (HDPE) body with rigid, flared sidewalls
• Up to two moulded pipe-entry positions, depending on body configuration
• For light-duty pedestrian or greenbelt locations only; not for vehicle-loading areas

Selection and installation

Allow working clearance for the valve, meter, cable bends and tools rather than selecting from the nominal cover size alone. Support the box on stable, compacted material, open only the pipe entries required and finish the cover level with the surrounding surface. Actual load suitability depends on the complete box-and-cover combination.
