Hansen Reducing Bush – BSPT

Reduce a female BSPT threaded connection to a smaller female BSPT thread.

The Hansen Reducing Bush has a male BSPT outer thread and female BSPT inner thread. It is used where a larger female-threaded valve, fitting or outlet needs to accept a smaller male-threaded component.

Choose the correct size

Sizes are listed as larger outer thread × smaller inner thread. Select the variant that matches both parts of the connection; it does not connect directly to plain pipe.

Installation guidance

• Check the required BSPT thread size and connection gender before fitting.
• Use a suitable thread sealant on threaded connections.
• Do not overtighten: hand-tighten, then tighten a further one to two turns only.
• Support connected pipework and do not install beneath driveways, paths or foundations.

Not suitable for swimming-pool or spa water with high chlorine concentrations.
