Join two female BSPT threaded connections of different sizes.
The Hansen Reducing Hex Nipple has male BSPT threads at both ends, in two different sizes. It connects a larger female-threaded fitting, valve or outlet to a smaller compatible female-threaded component.
Choose the correct size
Sizes are listed as larger thread × smaller thread. Confirm both female BSPT thread sizes before ordering; this fitting is not for direct connection to plain pipe.

- Male BSPT × male BSPT reducing connection
- 16 bar rated variants are identified individually in the size selector.
- Suitable for cold-water systems up to 60°C.

Installation guidance
- Check the required BSPT thread size and connection gender before fitting.
- Use a suitable thread sealant on threaded connections.
- Do not overtighten: hand-tighten, then tighten a further one to two turns only.
- Support connected pipework and do not install beneath driveways, paths or foundations.
Not suitable for swimming-pool or spa water with high chlorine concentrations.
