Hunter PSR-22 pump start relay

The Hunter PSR-22 lets a standard 24 V AC irrigation controller start a separate single-phase pump. The controller energises the relay coil; the relay then switches the pump’s mains supply.

• Double-pole, single-throw relay.
• For single-phase pumps up to 3 hp at 230 V AC, approximately 2.2 kW.
• Maximum full-load current: 30 A.
• 24 V AC controller connection via flying leads.
• IPX4 enclosure.

Installation and protection

This relay does not provide motor overload, thermal protection or mains isolation. Specify correctly rated protection and a suitable isolator for the pump, and have the mains wiring completed by a suitably qualified person. Hunter recommends at least 4.5 m separation between the relay and the irrigation controller to reduce electrical interference.
