PVC Union Plain Metric

Metric PVC union for serviceable pipework

This plain PVC-U union joins two compatible metric solvent-weld pipe sections while allowing the line to be disconnected later. It is useful beside valves, filters, pumps and other equipment that may need servicing or replacement.

Sizes and connections

• Metric sizes: 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm.
• Plain solvent-weld socket at both ends.
• Union nut allows separation without cutting the pipe.

Installation

Choose the size that matches the outside diameter of the metric PVC pipe. Prepare and solvent-weld both sockets using products suitable for PVC-U, following the cement manufacturer's instructions. Keep cement away from the union seal and do not use the union nut to pull misaligned pipework together.

Important: Metric and imperial PVC sizes are not directly interchangeable. Use a suitable transition fitting where the two systems meet.
