The FD-401 provides four independently addressed valve outputs from one field decoder on a compatible Rain Bird ESP-LXD or SiteControl two-wire system.

Installation note: Record all four factory-coded addresses against the station plan and use approved waterproof cable joints. The FD-401 includes surge protection at the decoder, but the complete two-wire path still needs to follow Rain Bird's grounding and surge-protection design.
