Rain Bird ESP-LXD two-wire decoder controller

The ESP-LXD is a commercial two-wire controller for Rain Bird FD-series field decoders. Choose the complete 50-station controller or the separate 75-station expansion module.

Controller capacity and programming

• 50 stations as standard.
• Expandable to 125 or 200 stations with one or two ESP-LXD-SM75 modules.
• Four independent programmes with eight start times per programme.
• Station run times from 0 minutes to 12 hours.
• Built-in flow sensing and management, with support for up to five flow sensors.
• One wired sensor input plus up to three decoder-managed sensor inputs.
• Supports FD-101, FD-102, FD-202, FD-401 and FD-601 decoder families.

Choose the correct variant

• 50-station controller: complete ESP-LXD controller.
• 75-station extension module: adds 75 stations to a compatible ESP-LXD and cannot operate alone.

The controller can operate up to eight solenoids and/or master valves simultaneously, subject to decoder, electrical and hydraulic design.

Selection note: Confirm the regional mains version, decoder addresses, field-cable layout, earthing and surge protection before ordering.

Do not bend the module connector pins; confirm the fitted module through Module Status. The expansion accessory cannot operate alone. Use approved 3M DBR/Y waterproof splice kits on the two-wire path and follow the full manual for wiring, earthing, surge protection and commissioning.
