What this valve box is for

Use this Rain Bird Jumbo valve box where a larger accessible underground enclosure is needed for irrigation valves, manifolds, cable joints and serviceable pipe connections. The black box body is buried and the green locking lid is left at finished ground level, protecting the installation while allowing practical access for maintenance.

When to choose the Jumbo box

Choose the Jumbo format when the valve arrangement needs more working room than a round or Standard box. The box has two large centre knock-outs for pipe up to 3.5 inches (89 mm); it does not have side knock-outs. Measure the full assembly, pipe routes and access required before ordering.

Installation and access

Set the box level with the final ground surface, route pipework through the intended centre openings, and keep the lid free from soil, turf and mulch. Allow enough room for the lid to be removed and for future testing, adjustment or replacement of the valves inside. The locking lid helps secure the enclosure.
