TORO Flex Series Bodies ACME & BSP Inlet 1-inch & 1½-inch Body
Connection check before ordering
Choose the body inlet and solenoid together. The available variants on this listing are shown below; select the exact code required by the existing sprinkler and controller.
| Variant code | Body inlet | Solenoid |
|---|---|---|
| FLEX 1-inch ACME BODY AC COIL | 1-inch ACME female | AC |
| FLEX 1-inch ACME BODY DC LATCHING COIL | 1-inch ACME female | DC latching |
| FLEX 1-inch BSP BODY AC COIL | 1-inch BSP female | AC |
| FLEX 1-inch BSP BODY DC LATCHING COIL | 1-inch BSP female | DC latching |
| FLEX 1½-inch ACME BODY AC COIL | 1½-inch ACME female | AC |
| FLEX 1½-inch ACME BODY DC LATCHING COIL | 1½-inch ACME female | DC latching |
| FLEX 1½-inch BSP BODY AC SOLENOID COIL | 1½-inch BSP female | AC |
| FLEX 1½-inch BSP BODY DC LATCHING COIL | 1½-inch BSP female | DC latching |
These are sprinkler bodies, with the selected solenoid configuration. The riser/inner assembly is separate. An ACME inlet needs its matching O-ring-sealed ACME outlet; a BSP inlet needs the correct BSP connection. The two thread systems are not interchangeable.
Toro FLEX800 valve-in-head sprinkler bodies
Body-and-solenoid assemblies for Toro FLEX800 golf sprinklers. Pair a 1-inch body with a FLEX34 or FLEX35 riser family, or a 1½-inch body with a FLEX54 or FLEX55 riser family. The riser, nozzle set and internal drive assembly are selected separately.
Solenoid selection
- AC variants ending -1: standard 24 V AC, 50/60 Hz solenoid; 0.30 A inrush and 0.20 A holding current.
- DC-latching variants ending -4: operated by a momentary low-voltage pulse; use only with a compatible latching output or two-wire field module.
Published assembled-sprinkler data
- 1-inch 34/35 family: approximately 254 mm body height. FLX34 published flow range 49.2–177.5 L/min; FLX35 31–179 L/min, depending on nozzle and pressure.
- 1½-inch 54/55 family: approximately 289 mm body height. FLX54 published flow range 50–234 L/min; FLX55 53.4–232 L/min, depending on nozzle and pressure.
- Recommended operating pressure: 4.5–6.9 bar; published minimum 2.8 bar and maximum 10.3 bar.
- Selectable pilot-valve settings: 3.4, 4.5, 5.5 or 6.9 bar.
- Stainless-steel valve seat, manual ON-OFF-AUTO control on electric models and a body-inlet rock screen serviceable from above.
Installation notes
- Use a swing joint and bring the sprinkler top flush with finished grade.
- For ACME variants, use the matching O-ring-sealed ACME fitting and do not apply PTFE tape or pipe sealant.
- For BSP variants, use PTFE tape on the male pipe thread only; Toro warns against paste-type pipe sealants on the sprinkler body.
- Protect every field splice with a suitable waterproof connection and leave enough cable for future servicing.

See the supporting gallery image for Toro’s FLEX800 swing-joint and inlet-sealing guidance. Match the actual BSP or ACME variant before fitting. Never stand or lean over a sprinkler during system filling, operation or servicing. Shut off the water supply and relieve residual pressure before removing a riser or main valve. Follow Toro’s controlled start-up procedure to avoid water hammer. The complete guides below retain start-up, service and nozzle-selection details.
