Toro INFINITY 1½-inch ACME body with DC-latching solenoid

The INF50-4 is the valve-in-head body platform for Toro INFINITY 54/55 golf sprinklers. It has a 1½-inch (40 mm) female ACME inlet, SMART ACCESS compartment and DC-latching solenoid. Select the required INF54, INF55 or INF55-6 riser and nozzle assembly separately.

Compatibility and operating data

• Body code: INF50-4.
• Riser families: INF54 full-circle, INF55 part/full-circle dual-trajectory, or INF55-6 part/full-circle TruJectory.
• Activation: DC-latching solenoid operated by a momentary low-voltage pulse; confirm the field module or controller output before ordering.
• Published assembled dimensions: approximately 290 mm high with a 190 mm SMART ACCESS cover/compartment diameter.
• Pressure: recommended 4.5–6.9 bar; published minimum 2.8 bar and maximum 10.3 bar.
• Pilot-valve settings: 3.4, 4.5, 5.5 or 6.9 bar.

SMART ACCESS and installation

• Top access to the pilot valve, control-module area and wire splices reduces the need to excavate around the sprinkler.
• Use a matching ACME swing-joint outlet with its O-ring. Do not use PTFE tape or pipe dope on the ACME connection; moisten the O-ring with clean water and screw the body on until it stops.
• Leave a service loop, waterproof every splice for the actual ground-water conditions and bring the sprinkler top flush with finished grade.
• Use porous backfill where needed so the SMART ACCESS compartment can drain.

Body only: the riser, drive and nozzle assembly are not included.

If the ACME joint leaks, shut off and relieve water pressure before removing it and checking the O-ring. Choose waterproof splice protection suitable for the actual conditions: Toro warns that ordinary silicone-gel or grease-filled connectors are unsuitable for continuous submersion, where a specified hardening-epoxy connector or equivalent is required.
